For people that frequently wear half sizes, you will need to round up or down to the nearest whole size, depending on the brand or style. On this page, we have included guidelines for selecting the proper size for each brand, when possible.Sheepskin footwear should fit snugly when it is new. Eventually the fuzzy sheepskin on the inside will mat down a small amount, creating a molded fit and causing the footwear to loosen up a bit. The skin on the outside can stretch out a little as well. This will occur more frequently in products with a 100% sheepskin outer layer. There will be less stretching if the outer layer is cowhide (as in some Chooka, Simple, and Emu styles), or if it is covered with pigskin (like some Aussie Dogs). For these two reasons, your sheepskin footwear products should start off close-fitting and snug.

A note of caution, however: though your shoes or boots should initally feel snug, you do not want to feel pressure points on your toes. If your toes feel very tight and you are able to feel pressure points when wearing your new footwear, it is probably too small. Keep this in mind when you are determining what size is right for you. Also, remember that sheepskin footwear is designed to be worn barefoot. If you intend to wear socks, keep in mind that the recommended size may fit more snugly and your feet may feel warmer.You can buy replacement insoles for many of the styles, which can fluff up the sherling on the inside under your feet, making them more snug. Sometimes this can solve the problem if you wear a half size: if you feel that you are between sizes, then you can round up to the larger size and add an extra insole inside to take up some of the space. Thick socks can be worn to take up some room as well.Note: Unisex sizes are quoted in mens sizes, so unisex size 6 is equivalent to"mens 6" and "women's 7".

Half Sizes

If you choose a half size as your shoe size in a particular brand that does not carry half sizes, we shall to the best of our knowledge, round up or down to the nearest whole size. If on arrival your shoe ends up being the wrong size, we reserve the right to NOT refund or pay for the return shipping costs. We will assume that the customer wants us to choose the appropriate size at the time of check out.

Each individual has unique considerations for length, width, instep height, arch height, toe length, and so on. Although the above information is intended to guide you, it may not be correct for everyone in every instance.

Some Acorn Products are sized normally, using whole numbers. Others, such as some of the slippers are small, medium, large, etc. For example, the Womens' line of "Oh Ewe" slipper runs from an XX-Small to a Small, while the unisex "Sheep-On" slippers run from XX-Small to X-Large.

Acorn boots tend to be a little wide, but still are snug. Acorn slippers are a bit more on the loose side as well, but more flexible than the boots because of a flexible comfort sole. It's normal to experience some slippage on your heel with Acorn slippers. Even in thier textured Moc which has a back on it wrapping around yuor heal

Chookas tend to fit true to size. Their slippers can run a little wider when compared to the other brands. In the case of dealing with a half size, Chooka recommends that it is best to round down to the nearest full size. While the boots will be snug in the beginning, they will eventually stretch out a little and form to your feet. They will become very comfortable, but may take just a bit longer to break in since they have an outer cowhide layer.

Emu footwear runs true to size. In the case of a half size, Emu reccomends rounding up to the nearest whole size. Width is fairly standard, and seems to fit most people just right.

UGG footwear should be snug, but not uncomfortable. Their footwear will give a bit as it molds to your foot. UGG's products are designed to be worn barefoot (as most sheepskin products are) to maximize the cushioning and the proper warmth of the sheepskin. Their fleece footbed will mold to the natural contours of your foot, creating a personalized arch support.

Sizes generally run large in both length and width, espcially for "classic" styles.

We may adjust your order if we see that you tried to order a half size. When this happens, we will choose a whole size for you in an effort to match the appropriate size depending on where the particular item is from.

Ugg Australia recommends that you select a size smaller than your normal size for the above styles, because these products tend to be a half-size to a whole size too large and have a tendency to fit loosely. If you wear a half-size you should probably round down!
